A Day In The Life Of A Female Citizen

My life as a female citizens is pretty simple I wake up and I usually go to the market but I have to ask my slave or my brother or any male, you can only leave your house with a male if you don't you're breaking the law and several punishments will come to you. In my times female were treated very unfairly we aren't aloud to leave our houses without a male were not aloud to be apart of the government or get hit by the rope. I hope in the future us females get more rights and are more respected. My dream has always been to be apart of the government but that's never gonna happen sometimes I wish I was a male. We also have to clean and we don't have good jobs it's usually making clothes or a nurse I mean it’s not bad but we don’t get payed a lot. I don’t really have a job I usually stay home and knit my slave does all the cleaning. My slave name is Lordan, I try to be as nice to my slave as possible I don’t like the fact of having them but they are very handy they do all the house work and takes me the agora I guess I’m pretty lucky I have a slave I’m happy I’m not a metic like my friend Asorrah, Asorrah is a metic meaning she wasn’t born here so she can’t have a slave, or be part of the government even though shes a girl, she also can’t own land. Every fortnight me and my brother go to visit the god Zeus in the temple of Athens. That's what I do in a day.
